Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. The Indigo light went out on his current watch and that is a feature he needs. So, I purcahsed a new one. The ordering process was easy and it arrived in a timely manner. I received updates on the shipment. The product was packaged well and arrived without any damaged. My husband loves the look of this watch. It has a classic look, with the date and light. My husband will probably change out the band for a nice leather band and keep this bad as an extra. Overall, the watch looks great and peforms well."
